Welcome!
Thank you for visiting our website! The 2011 Ardmore 5K Race, Fun Run and Food Drive is scheduled for October 8, 2011.
Last year's event was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who joined us for a great morning. Sponsors, donors and race/fun run participants raised $18,000 for Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC! Hope to see you this year!
Amazing
There is only one word to describe this morning’s event – amazing. Simply Amazing. From the weather to the community spirit, the morning was great. Together, with the help of sponsors, donations and Fun Run/5K Race participants, we were able to raise $18,000 for Second Harvest Food Bank. With that money, the Food Bank will be able to provide 126,00 meals.
A huge thank you to our generous sponsors, giving volunteers and energetic participants. Without you, none of this would be possible. Thank you for a wonderful year and we look forward to seeing you all again at next year’s race!
One little business note – the morning’s race results will be available from the Twin City Track Club by mid week. We apologize for the delay and will post them as soon as they’re up!
Thanks again!

What’s For Dinner?
Chances are, you probably know what you’re going to have for dinner tonight. But did you know, according to the Second Harvest Food Bank, 1 in 10 Americans is food insecure, which means they cannot reliably say where their next meal is coming from. In addition, North Carolina is among the top 10 states with the highest percentage of families who are hungry or at risk of hunger, and 1 in 5 kids under the age of 18 are food insecure in our state.
While we have all felt hunger pains, many of us may not know what genuine hunger feels like. And the folks at the Food Bank are working hard to ensure less and less people feels those pains. With your participation, we can help them achieve that goal.
If you’ve already signed up for this year’s Ardmore 5K or Fun Run, thank you. A large percentage of your registration fee will be donated to the Food Bank. If you haven’t registered yet, we encourage you to do so. And grab a family member, co-worker, or friend to do it with you.
Together, we can help end hunger. Hope to see you Saturday!
